CHATTANOOGA, TN, Jan. 24, 2024 — Bridge Innovate® announces a community partnership with the United Way of Greater Chattanooga to deliver “Exemplary Leaders: A Foundational Leadership Program,” inspired by the research of Jim Kouzes & Barry Posner in The Leadership Challenge®. Bridge Innovate was founded with a mission to ignite creative leadership for growth and good. One way they live out this mission is through the Innovation for Good® program, designed to both inspire and ignite innovation through a variety of free programs: Bright Spark® student challenges, the Leaders in the Arena podcast series, and sponsored community programs. This year’s Innovation for Good® community program is a leadership development series for nonprofit leaders delivered in partnership with the United Way of Greater Chattanooga.
The “Exemplary Leaders” series design is based on The Leadership Challenge®, delivered virtually by Bridge as part of the Unum® Future Leaders program. Participants were guided through the content of The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership®, the Leadership Practices Inventory® 360 assessment, and insights from Bridge Innovate’s Executive in Residence Leaders. Unum participants rated the program with high satisfaction and reported an overall knowledge gain of 50-70% across the leadership practices.
Based on the success of the condensed, fully virtual model with the Unum® Future Leaders cohort, Bridge Innovate is proud to offer this same program for 41 leaders of nonprofit organizations in the region:
“We understand that leadership development plays a pivotal role in the growth of an organization,” shares Jenny Whitener, CEO of Bridge Innovate®. “By empowering your leaders to inspire and guide their teams, you’re more likely to improve communication, decision-making, and problem-solving across the board. Yet, many organizations are simply unable to provide leadership development, pushing away top talent and failing to hit key goals. This Leadership Challenge offering made possible through our partnership with the United Way of Greater Chattanooga will empower nonprofit leaders in our community with essential tools for growth. We are thankful for our nonprofit leaders and appreciate the opportunity to serve them.”
Although the program has a suggested retail rate of $1,995 per participant, Bridge Innovate® will be administering the program tuition-free. Participants are asked to only cover the cost of materials for the program.
