Great Conversations: From Blueprints to Belonging

Mac Avenue Event Space 1304 McCallie Avenue, #Suite A, Chattanooga, TN, United States

Great Conversations: From Blueprint to Belonging How might understanding our built environments make us better neighbors? This interactive event invites community members and urban planners, alike, to explore this question together. Led by a panel of 4 local community leaders, we’ll think about how our spaces—public parks, city streets, or homes—shape the way we interact with, contribute to, and understand our community. Whether you’re a professional in the field or someone who’s passionate about the future of our communities , you’ll walk away from this event with practical strategies for how you might advocate for, give to, or volunteer with initiatives that help build a stronger, more connected community for all of our neighbors. Ticket includes heavy apps from Il Primo, two drink tickets, and of course, great conversations!

Co.Starters Bootcamp

United Way of Greater Chattanooga 630 Market Street, Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States

A 2-day intensive where nonprofits will strategize, problem solve, and apply business basics to their nonprofit service or program. NOTE: Nonprofits are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to find a nonprofit partner to collaborate with for this bootcamp. Each (1) registration will cover (1) set of CoStarters materials for the event. If you plan to sign-up with a partner, we recommend contacting us to determine how to best proceed with registration: [email protected]. During this four-part bootcamp, you’ll (ideally collaboratively) work with other nonprofit peers to strategize, problem solve, and apply business basics to your idea. The goal of this intensive is to help you design (or redesign) a program or service and develop a plan of action to prepare you for an application to our 2025-26 Catalyst Fund Grant. We want to emphasize that we'll be looking favorably at grant applications with intentional collaboration in the 2025-26 cycle. Come ready for a challenge, stretch your thinking, and apply concrete tools to bring your services to life. This bootcamp is not about listening; it’s about doing. This workshop will be hosted in the United Way of Greater Chattanooga Hub for Social Innovation and facilitated by Abby Garrison, VP of Community Investments at UWGC and Maggie Sparks, Community […]
