TITLE:                          Bookkeeper

REPORTS TO:              Direct of Accounting/CFO

FLSA STATUS:             Full Time

PAY:                            Based on experience/qualifications

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Under the supervision of the CFO/Director of Accounting the Bookkeeper is responsible for the daily operations of the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Bookkeeping processes for the Boys and Girls Club of Chattanooga. This position will also assist with processing payroll, month end book closing, annual audit requests, budgeting, government grant reporting and submissions, and various other Accounting and Human Resource related needs.

KEY ROLES (Inclusive, but not limited to);

1.      Enter and sort all bank transactions through Quickbooks

2.      Enter all bills into either Quickbooks or Bill.com

3.      Manage approval and payment of all Accounts Payable

4.      Enter all pledges into Quickbooks

5.      Ensure all Accounts receivable are up to date

6.      Complete monthly bank reconciliations

7.      Enter all credit card and expense reports in QB

8.      Reconcile all credit cards on a monthly basis

9.      Assist in producing all month end financial reports

10.  Process payroll on a bi-monthly basis

11.  Assist in entering and ensuring accuracy of all new employees in payroll system

12.  Assist in the annual budget process

13.  Assist in collecting information for the annual audit

14.  Assist with processing and reporting on various government and non-government grants as needed

15.  Assist with other finance, accounting, and Human Resource roles as needed

16.  Be ready to help with major fund-raising events and requests as needed

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

•          Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience preferred

•          2+ years of bookkeeping experience

•          Experience using Quickbooks online

•          2 years of accounts payable and accounts receivable experience

•          Experience with nonprofit accounting preferred

•          Experience with Bill.com preferred

·         Position would be based at BGCC’s administrative office located at 1307 East Main Street (at East Main & Holtzclaw) and can be a hybrid (combination of remote and in-office) work-location arrangement
