Position: Donor Services Manager (F/T)

Reports to: Chief Development Officer

The Chattanooga Area Food Bank (CAFB) is seeking a dynamic, team-oriented individual who is committed to fulfilling our mission in leading a network of partners in eliminating hunger and promoting better nutrition in our region.

Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Donor Services Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight of CAFB’s CRM system and processes related to data solutions for the organization. This position oversees the donor services team and key functions to ensure accurate donor data, timely analyses and production of reports to inform fundraising strategies. This position is also responsible to develop efficient processes and procedures to streamline the implementation and operations of the CRM system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•          Oversee donor gift processing and stewardship process for a database of 30,000+ constituents

•          Ensure consistent, accurate and timely entries of all donor information via Raiser’s Edge NXT; responsible for writing and running data quality control queries and generating reports for targeted donor lists, event invitations, etc.

•          Manage information contained in donor database. Develop and document best practices and enforce protocols for data entry; educate and train staff and volunteers

•          Train and oversee data-entry staff (and volunteers) to ensure accurate and timely entry of donor information

•          Oversee and manage exceptional correspondence to donors, including acknowledgement letters and end of year statements

•          Provide strategic data analysis, reporting, and tracking to support a strong and balanced fundraising plan

•          Interface with finance department and perform monthly and annual reconciliations. Assist finance with documentation needed for annual audit.

•          Responsible for developing both long and short-range operational plans to strengthen and grow the low and mid-level gifts program

•          Support the Development Department by developing strategies and tactics to acquire, cultivate, solicit, renew and upgrade donors

•          Actively work to increase engagement with donors, to increase donor retention, and to grow the yield of donors’ philanthropic capacity by overseeing the qualification and assignment of existing donors to portfolios and identification of new prospects with growth potential by utilizing wealth screening information and other research to develop an active cultivation plan

•          Develop and implement procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database and prompt acknowledgement of donations

•          Respond to general donor correspondence and phone calls in a timely manner

•          Coordinate and plan for future data conversions and upgrades as needed

•           All other duties as assigned

Professional Skills:

•          Excellent MS Office skills and experience using various online platforms to streamline processes

Qualifications

•          Minimum three years’ experience in Raiser’s Edge NXT implementation and operation or similar CRM system required

•          Experience developing reports for fundraising teams

•          Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience required
