About Habitat
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area (HFHGC) is an ecumenical Christian non-profit organization focused on housing solutions and neighborhood revitalization that benefits families and individuals in Chattanooga through home repairs, new construction and other direct services.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Development of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga, the Grants & Database Manager will support the mission of Habitat for Humanity by supporting the grant life cycle, donor & volunteer data management and support of all development department functions.

Together, the Development Department for Habitat Chattanooga ensures that the necessary resources are available, including community relationships, to ensure that everyone in the service area has a decent place to live. The team culture includes the Chief Executive Officer as a primary driver in fundraising along with, the Director of Development who oversees direct fundraising efforts, donor solicitations and other aspects of the department and the Events & Marketing Coordinator who supports our major fundraising events, social media presence, and graphic design.

Grants Management:
• Manage grant applications from foundations, state, and federal government sources.
• Organize all grant resources for perennial and recurring applications.
• Gather all necessary documentation from Construction, Finance and Family services to complete grant requirements
• In collaboration with the Development Director, develop and submit grant proposals and follow-up reports.
• Maintain a calendar of grant application deadlines and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and manage ongoing monitoring and reporting.
• Maintain relationships with community organizations for collaborative grant-funded projects.
Database Management:
• Manage and maintain databases (Salesforce, GiveSmart, Mailchimp, Click and Pledge).
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency through regular cleaning and organization.
• Develop and implement best practices for database management.
Donor Engagement and Support:
• Oversee the donor acknowledgment process
• Support strategies for donor engagement and retention.
• Develop content for donor newsletters and segmented communications.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., non-profit management, communications, marketing, data management).
• Preferred 1 year experience with grant writing, reporting, or facilitation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce, GiveSmart, Mailchimp, and Click and Pledge is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for Habitat for Humanity’s mission and values.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.
• Background check and drug screen required
