Restore Hope Fund

United Way of Greater Chattanooga has designed the Restore Hope Fund to provide individual support to families and households impacted by this crisis by way of funding nonprofit partners and service providers in southeast Tennessee and northwest Georgia. The focus of the initial allocations will be to support individuals or households who are experiencing lost wages or who become ill from the virus so that they may stay in their homes and access basic necessities. In the coming months, the Restore Hope Fund will be focused on long-term community recovery efforts.

Community Organizations

We are working closely with committee members and partner groups to ensure that the grants awarded meet the greatest needs in communities disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. If your organization needs support or resources during this time, please let us know and we will do our best to help ensure those needs are met.

Application for Funding

Funding will be available for immediate response to meet basic needs of those impacted by COVID-19. Priority will be given to organizations providing direct assistance to individuals impacted by wage loss.  The focus of this funding is emergency assistance for:

• Rent/Mortgage

• Utilities

• Financial assistance due to job and wage loss

Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis as they are received. All organizations receiving grant funds will be required to account for their expenditures and report on the impact of the services funded. Deadlines and templates for these reports will be provided along with each approval notification.

Eligible Organizations:  501(c)(3) nonprofits, faith-based organizations and other community-based organizations providing direct financial assistance relief on the frontline of response to COVID-19. Note: Only those qualified organizations able to describe their plans and demonstrate their ability to serve those affected will be eligible. Questions? Email [email protected].
