Restore Hope Fund
In response to COVID-19, United Way of Greater Chattanooga was able to provide a pathway to help those most affected in our community. We could not have done this without you.
People right here in the Chattanooga community donated their time and money to help others. Here is what we were able to accomplish with that generosity.
#LiveUnited
Since mid-March, this is exactly what the Chattanooga community has been doing – Living United. This means that we as a community stand together during times of great need. It means we support each other. It means that even though we may experience tough times, we will always overcome – together.
The COVID-19 crisis affected everyone in one way or another. Whether it was job or wage loss, sickness or social distancing’s toll on mental health, we all felt the ripple effects.
However, the pandemic did not affect our community’s desire to help each other.
As soon as we launched our Restore Hope Fund and began to connect people with volunteer opportunities, you showed up. People were eager to give and help make a difference, and we are honored to have been able to help you do that. You helped raise over $800,000 and assist in a wide variety of volunteer opportunities.
From the bottom of our hearts, United Way of Greater Chattanooga thanks you for your support. We could not have done this without you.
#LiveUnited. We have been doing it, and will continue doing it.

YOUR DONATION WAS HANDLED WITH CARE
United Way of Greater Chattanooga is dedicated to making sure your donation, whether time or money, makes the biggest impact possible. To ensure that all of our opportunities to both give help and get help were able to directly assist those who were affected financially by COVID-19, we adhered to the same practices we use on a day-to-day basis.
EFFECTIVE
100% of Restore Hope Fund donations were invested in basic needs assistance for households that experienced financial strain from COVID-19.
Community-Wide Focus
To determine how to invest your donation, we identified which needs were the most pressing – and which were going unseen or unmet.
Impact Driven
We evaluated each partner before making investments, ensuring your donations funded those that could make the biggest impact.
Results Based
To hold ourselves and our partner agencies accountable, we collect program results to measure the impact and share with you.
